Abstract/Contents:Stresses the importance and accuracy of tissue testing, because tissue testing "analyzes the nutrient content of plant tissue just like soil and water testing, but it measures what is actually within the plant, not what may potentially enter the plant." Summarizes the advances in aeration, fertilization, water application and soil make-up in the last ten years. Focuses on what nutrient levels and ratios to look for when tissue testing along with proper testing technique. Suggests taking samples every 2-3 weeks by sampling your strongest and weakest greens. Cites that "if a plant is in balance it is less susceptible to wilt, disease and traffic stress."
