Abstract/Contents:Presents a study to "determine the potential movement of certain pesticides following application to lawns and golf courses." Results include that "less than 1% of the applied herbicides were transported through the rooting media and from the base of the lysimeters. Highest concentrations of analytes in the leachate were less than 5.0 ìg L-1...Pesticide transport from the plots was greatest for the more water soluble herbicides: 2,4-D, mecoprop, and dicamba...compared to the less water soluble pesticides: benefit, pendimethalin, dithiopyr, chlorpyrifos, and chlorothalonil."
