Abstract/Contents:"Field test[s] were conduct[ed] for a tank mix to be used along Missouri roadside[s] for plant growth regulation, primarily seed head suppression of tall fescue. Early mixes offered only a short window of application time and offered limited success. Current recommendation is a mix of 0.15 oz/ac of metsulfuron and 0.94 oz/ac of imazapic offering seed head suppression on tall fescue, broadleaf control and cost saving in reduced mowing cost. Early test[s] were with imazapic only, but the emergence of wild lettuce early and chicory later in the season was unacceptable. Early season application saves two and sometimes three mowing[s] during the season."
