Abstract/Contents: | Describes a study "to evaluate calcined clay in a tilling renovation process and its effects on turfgrass growth." Details how Turface MVP calcined clay was used as part of the profile and the football field it was studied in was seeded with a bluegrass blend of 'Nublue,' 'Limousine,' and 'Touchdown' cultivars. Describes how subdivided plots were evaluated for bulk density, water percolation, water content, and turf cover. Concludes that "Turface had a favorable affect on growing conditions by reducng bulk density and increasing water movement...[and] by reducing compaction and making the playing surface less muddy." |
