Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the efforts by the Village of Wellington to reduce phosphorous pollution. Describes the process used by the village of putting the contaminated water into pits and heating the water so the phosphorous turns into a percipitate which settles out of the water. Contrasts rural and urban phosphorous emissions in the region and what is being done to combat the emissions in each area. Comments on the need for the turf industry to always be "in the thick of things by helping to make important decisions". |
