Abstract/Contents:Presents a study with the objective to assess the toxicologic significance of hyperglycemia caused by organophosphorous insecticides. Examines "whether an increase in diabetogenic xanthurenic acid caused by some OP insecticides contributes to OP-induced hyperglycemia." Results indicate that "OP-induced hyperglycemia has the potential to occur in accidental or suicidal poisonings but not in dietary exposures to minute quantities of OP insecticides."
