Abstract/Contents:Discusses the banning of Diazinon a broad spectrum psticide which has been commonly used for home lawn care. States that "Diazinon is one of the most commonly found pesticide in air rain, and fog, " and that "in December 2000, after studying this pesticide more closely, as required by the 1996 Food Quality Protection Act, the United States Environmental Protection Agency announced the phaseout of Diazinon for non-agricultural use because of the unacceptable risks it poses to people, especially children." Supports the use of the Integrated Pest Management which exemplifies least environmentally distruptive methods for pest control.
