Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the challenges of looking seasonal employees for golf courses. States that not many people want to work at 6 am, but average pay is $8.50 or more an hour. Introduces Village Links of Glen Ellyn in Chicago, which has incentives to bolster compensation, such as "bonus" hour or $15 in additional pay. States that to compliment the seasonal staff, though, superintendents must find a few strong, skilled candidates who are willing to work 45 hours per week or more for six to nine months without an extended vacation." |
