Abstract/Contents: | Discusses plant growth regulators, or PGRs. States that PGRs, which are classified as Type I or II, or designated by some researchers as Classes A-E, are effective in reducing mowing requirements, suppression of turf during overseeding, suppression of Poa annua seedheads, elimination of tall seedheads in roadside grasses, differential suppression of turf growth, and improvement of overall health of turf. States that when considering PGR use, one should compare the cost with maintenance savings. |
