Abstract/Contents: | Discusses high temperatures while composting interfering with the herbicide clopyralid degrading by destroying microorganisms. States that "the absence of a particular microorganism is rarely the limiting factor in degrading any substance during composting...it is possible that organic matter itself may be interfering with clopyralid degradation...One of the proposed explanations is that the pesticide compounds adsorb to the abundand organic particles in composting material." |
