Focuses on what toxicology is, frequency and duration of exposure, routes of exposure, health effects, toxicity measurements, metabolism and distribution, and variability and susceptibility. States that "the adverse effects of a chemical depend on its toxicity, how people are exposed to the chemical, and each person's individual susceptibility. Exposure to chemical agents can lead to a wide range of health effects which may be expressed immediately or take years to develop." |
