| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the proposed rule change to the Association of Official Seed Analysts (AOSA) Rules. States that "the proposal basically would combine 'other' crop and weed contaminates into one classification such as Other Species which would be reported on the seed label as a single percentage." Lists the reasons for this change in AOSA Rules. Also asserts that "what is especially convenient is that this is the way the International Seed Testing Association has been reporting purity tests since 1972! Changing the rule here in the U.S. would bring AOSA and ISTA into beautiful harmony." Concludes that "no matter how long it takes, we believe the time is right for the U.S. to get in step with the rest of the world." |
