Abstract/Contents:Discusses the need for developers to adjust courses to changes in the golf ball design. Addresses the increase in driving distances and the resulting increase in the distance of mis-hit balls. States that "in particular, greater care should be taken in setting property boundries adjacent to golf holes, and building setbacks should be reconsidered...planning consultants and architects need to allow more easement open space and deeper building setbacks in their designs." Concludes that "since there are no completely reliable guidelines available regarding golf ball safety easements when a course is part of a residential community or resort, developers and their consultants should pay attention to this expanding area of mis-hit golf ball trajectory."
