Abstract/Contents: | Discusses drought study of perennial ryegrass by the Australian Turfgrass Evaluation Program. Presents an experiment where "irrigation was turned off to see how well perennial ryegrass varieties performed without irrigation." Results include "considerable difference in recovery, with the agriculturally derived varieties tending to show greater recovery." Concludes that "the trials were assessed every two months for colour, density and shredding over a two-year period. Seasonal growth was assessed four times a year in the last half of each season." |
