Abstract/Contents:Profiles Deer Valley Golf and Estates, a golf course designed by Glen Trentini in Saskatchewan. Describes the features of the course, such as elevation changes and native vegetation. Discusses Trentini's goal of coordinating the golf course with its natural environment, stating that "trained on that goal, he has insisted upon using only organic fertilizers and abiding by the guidelines set by the Audubon Co-operative Sanctuary System of Canada." Describe's Deer Valley's mowing regime, construction and playability. Discusses the success of the golf course, stating that "Deer Valley, which Trentini said realized a profit in only its first year of operation, is already negotiating with the Royal Canadian Golf Association to play host to the 2003 Saskatchewan Mid-Amateur Championships and is trying to attract a national championship in 2005." Explains that "the only noticeable piece of the puzzle still missing is the lack of a new clubhouse, but that may still come in the not-too-distant future."
