| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses damage that members cause on golf courses through negligence or lack of etiquette, such as "driving golf cars in clearly marked restricted areas, tossing tee markers into the rough or water hazards, not raking bunkers," and "taking divots out of greens." Suggests that golfers should take responsibility not just for their own actions, but also for the actions of others on the course. Explains that "golfers should not only individually follow golf etiquette, but should also work together to improve the game." Concludes that "many members adhere to the saying, 'When fixing your ballmark, fix three others.' Maybe that philosophy could be extended to the bunkers." |
