Abstract/Contents:Explains the reasons behind reduced performance in postemergence herbicides in drought-stressed plants. Describes the leaf cuticle and coating of epicuticular wax, and the relationship between the soil moisture, the thickness of the wax, and the ease of absorption of herbicides. Recommends "watering a couple of days before application of herbicides if a drought condition exists."
