| Abstract/Contents: | 1985 update of National Kentucky Bluegrass Variety Test established 9/80 near Lexington, KY. Included in the test are 88 named and experimental selections with three replications. Three pounds of nitrogen per 1000 square feet have been applied annually during the fall and early winter. In order to obtain maximum stress, the plots are not irrigated and are mowed at a 1.5 inch height. A table provides 1982-85 annual and 4-year average visual qualtiy ratings (1 to 9; 9=best quality) with least significant difference value. 4-year average ratings ranged from 3.88(Escort) to 6.62(I-13). No data is presented for the National Kentucky Bluegrass Variety Test established 9/85. |
