Abstract/Contents:Test to determine if Acclaim would give effective Johnsongrass control with little damage to Kentucky bluegrass. A one year old Kentucky bluegrass sod field In Jefferson Country was chosen for this study. Three Acclaim and two MSMA treatments were made in three replications on August 22, 1985. Some repeat treatments were made after three weeks. A table provides % control on 9/11 and 10/7. Repeat applications of MSMA gave better control than single or repeat applications of Acclaim. No Kentucky bluegrass injury was evident with any treatment, even with extremely high rates of MSMA.
