Abstract/Contents: | Test to evaluate the effect of Cutless on the growth of creeping bentgrass. Since Cutless gives very good growth regulation of Poa annua, it is being evaluated as an excellent tool for renovating fairways with creeping bentgrass. Three replications of four treatments (Check and Cutless at 0.5, 0.75, or 1.25 lb ai/A) were applied to 6' X 10' plots on April 19, 1985. The plots were mowed with a walk-behind Bunton greens mower and the clippings were collected, dried and weighed. A table provides average growth per day on 4/24, 5/3, and 5/10. Cutless did not affect growth at the 2 low rates and may have slightly affected growth at the high rate. |
