Abstract/Contents: | Describes the drought in North Carolina as "the worst drought most can remember in a long time over such a wide spread area". Describes early indications of dry weather on turfgrass as dry spots. Explains that, "When we are in the middle of a water supply crisis, we don't have time to deal with the problem... when the drought finally breaks and the blessed rains return, the problem quickly gets pushed to the back burner." |
