| Abstract/Contents: | "The efficacy of seed priming and Addamax seed treatment on emergence time and plant development was tested on seed of two cool season turfgrass cultivars in three greenhouse trials and one field trial. The Addamax seed treatment had a significant influence on plant emergence and plant height in the first of the three greenhousse trials, although some problems developed with high temperatures. However, in the other two trials the results were inconclusive for the two seed treatments, possibly due to disease and algae problems which developed. In the field trial, the Addamax seed treatment increased the initial plant counts, but with a cool fall season, establishment was not significant. The field trial will continue to be evaluated in 1993 for plant development." |
