Abstract/Contents:Discusses control of buttercups in turfgrass. Explains that buttercups are a problem in damp soils, which are common in New Zealand, though these conditions can occur in Australia as well. Provides identification markers for buttercups. Recommends that lawns facing buttercup infestations have drainage systems installed or have their irrigation programs reduced. Explains that, in some cases, herbicides may be required and provides a list of herbicides that selectively kill buttercups in turf.
