Abstract/Contents:"'Manhattan 3' perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) (Reg. no. CV-222, PI 595677) was released by Pure Seed Testing, Inc. (PST), Hubbard, OR, in 1995. The first Certified seed was produced in 1997. Pure Seed Testing, Inc. developed Manhattan 3 in cooperation with the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) and the Manhattan Ryegrass Growers Association with the goal of continuing improvement of 'Manhattan" perennial ryegrass (Funk et al., 1969). Manhattan 3 was tested under the designation PST-2MS."
