Abstract/Contents:Article discusses the factors involved in pathogen resistance to fungicides. Defines a "natural or acquired ability of an organism to tolerate chemicals which it was previously sensitive to". There are three principle factors involved in development of resistance to fungicides: 1)Chemical nature of fungicide; 2) Characteristics of pathogen; 3)The type of disease. Article also discusses methods of minimizing pathogen resistance to fungicides.
