Abstract/Contents: | Stresses that although irrigation technology may be improving, high-quality water is still needed for those systems in order to produce green grass. Gives examples from courses in Hawaii and southern California to support this claim. Points out that switching grasses can be part of the solution to poor grass color, but that changes in maintenance practices like mowing, aerification, drainage improvements, and fertilization can also help. |
