Abstract/Contents:"Although it is possible to obtain plant damage under severe plant stress and high inoculum levels, Curvularia can best be described as a weak pathogen and is primarily an indicator of plant stress. In those situations where Curvularia is isolated from tissue that is showing plant damage the most effective strategy is to attempt to identify the cultural or environmental factor which may be interfering with proper plant growth and attempt to correct that problem, if possible. Application of a fungicide for control of Curvularia is usually not warranted. Furthermore, little or no information is available concerning effective fungicidal control of Curvularia."
