Abstract/Contents: | "This paper reviews the size of the UK fertilizer industry, and the forms of conventional fertilizer generally used for amenity turf, including the semi-organic forms (blends of chemicals and organics). The correct balance of nutrients is extremely important, and some effects of imbalance are listed. Comments are also made on the use of fertilizers on winter pitches and the importance of leaching, particularly now that increasing numbers of turf areas are sand constructions." |
