Abstract/Contents:Announces that the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) issued new guidelines for golf courses and other recreational facilities. Explains that "among its provisions is a requirement that places of public accommodation and commercial facilities be readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities." Details the requirements for golf courses, driving ranges and practice tees, golf car passages, putting greens, weather shelters, boating gangways, slips, swimming pool and shooting ranges. States that "as with the original provisions of the ADA, private clubs remain exempt. However, to the extent your club is open to nonmembers or the general public, you may be required to abide by the ADA."
