Abstract/Contents:"Five grass species, Festuca arundincea, Agrostis stolonifera, Cynodon dactylon, Buchloe dactyloides, and Agropyron desertorum, were investigated for selenium resistance in solution culture. Substantial differences in selenium and salinity resistance were found among the five species. Differences in the uptake pattern of selenite and selenate by the plants were examined by using fluorimetric method. The potential use of these species for improving land and water quality was discussed."
