| Abstract/Contents: | "On July 1st, 1973 the trade with turf grass seed in Sweden is to be subject to the regulations of the same law which is already in force for agricultural plants. This means that only certified seed of varieties on the restrictive list of varieties will be allowed for sale in Sweden. This new law applies to all important grasses with a few exceptions. Varieties have to undergo the official Swedish trials of evaluation for a period of 4 to 5 years, in order to qualify for entering into the Swedish Variety List. The aim of this restrictive list of varieties is to get only the best varieties in use for different turf purpose to achieve the highest possible standard of Swedish green areas." |
