Abstract/Contents: | In order for turf managers to reduce nutrient leaching and improve fertilizer efficiency, there are many considerations. Discusses interactions between plant nutrients and soils, soil pH should be kept between 6.0 and 7.0, nutrient uptake by plants keep application rates slow, fertilizer nutrient sources, "slow release" nitrogen should be used, and water movement in soil; fertigation processes and irrigation management used wisely. |
