Abstract/Contents:Discusses sedges and the benefits of using them in gardens. States that sedges can be used "in a variety of landscape settings, from containers to low-maintenance groundcover plantings. Some can even be used as a no-mow substitute for turf." Explains that sedges are "ideal for woodland gardens" due to their shade tolerance. Says that "one of the most innovative uses for sedges is as a lawn substitute" due to their minimal mowing requirements. States that "the uses for sedges are limited only by your imagination."
