Abstract/Contents: | "From the data presented, fescue and bentgrass to date have responded quite differently to applications of various levels of potash. Levels of potash for the first time, showed a significant increase in dry matter yield for fescue. The interaction effects of the various levels of nitrogen and potash were significant at both the 8 and 12 pound levels of nitrogen for bentgrass. Effects of nitrogen levels were significant for both fescue and bentgrass. Disease incidence of dollar spot on bentgrass was inversely proportional to the amount of nitrogen applied. The greater the amount of nitrogen applied the less the injury from dollar spot infection. Dollar spot injury on bentgrass seems to be definitely associated with the amount of nitrogen applied." |
