| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses preparation for professional tournament play. Details steps toward finalization of a course that meets all standards and requirements of USGA and PGA. The playing condition of the course is the most important element for the player. PGA sponsoring courses should be ready for tournament play any time of the year. A big difference in USGA and PGA course requirements is that the USGA requires deeper rough and faster green. Discusses bunkers, teeing ground, fairways, extra equipment, trees, and personal management in respect to USGA and PGA tournament standards. |
