Abstract/Contents:CONCLUSION: "Topdressing fairways is a big project and will be costly. It is long term in nature and needs to be carefully planned and executed to be successful. Its primary advantages lie in firming up fairways for winter play. It may also result in a smoother surface and therefore tighter lies for golf balls. It should be endorsed by members and evaluated only after 3-5 years of consistant topdressing have been completed. Its merits relative to cart paths should be carefully determined before making a decision."
