Abstract/Contents: | "Green roofs are able to evaporate up to 68 percent of the annual precipitation over the vegetation and the vegetation layer. They can contribute to that extent substantially to the discharge of the waste water buildings. The reduction of the drainage water maximum values by green roofs with calculated rain of 300 l/ (s x ha) can be used as basis for a smaller dimensioning of the channels and support building in urban planning. The roof size affects this characteristic only to small extent. Seepage water from green roofs is small loaded with nutrients and is to that extent suitable for use as industrial water with consideration of good technical practice. Impairments of the industrial water quality due to colouring by washed humic acid however are to be expected with extensive greenroofs." |
