Abstract/Contents:Discusses the use of turf paint as an alternative to transitional overseeding. Describes the problems with "spring transition after overseeding" on bermudagrass greens explaining that "regardless of your method there is a good chance there will be about 30 days where your greens don't look good." Presents an experiment to "provide color while tests were conducted to determine which chemical controls would work at the course during overseeding." Results include that "Kerb removed the Poa the fastest...the greens responded exceptionaly well, and were soon being mowed daily." Concludes that "the painting process is time consuming, but when you consider the costs of labor when mowing overseeded greens the bottom line becomes much more defined."
