Abstract/Contents: | "Safe-T-Green regristration mark (linear secondary alcohols reacted with ethylene oxide), Neo-Trol registration mark (ground sesame plants) DiTera registration mark (dried fermentation solids and solubles of Myrothecium verrucaria) and Vector registration mark (Steinernema riobravis) are registered for the control of plant parasitic nematodes in turf. These products were tested on putting greens against several genera of nematodes in completely randomized block designs with 5 replications. Nematode assays were conducted 4 to 6 times during the growing season. Safe-T-Green did not provide significant control of Tylenchorhynchus or Hoplolaimus. Neo-Trol did not provide significant control of Heterodera, Hoplolaimus or Tylenchorhynchus even at higher than label rates. At one collection date, Neo-Trol-treated plots had significantly reduced populations of Criconemella. Soil injections of DiTera, did not reduce Criconemella, Hoplolaimus or Tylenchorhynchus. Vector did not reduce Tylenchorynchus or Hoplolaimus." |
