| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses pesticide use in public and cholinesterase. States that most of the people who call you with complaints will have an application of pesticide on their lawn or neighbors' lawn recently and have linked the coincidence of your application with the illness of their daughter, son, or pet. Provides several suggestions that may help in communicating with unhappy customers. States that cholinesterase is an enzyme present in humans that allows coordinated muscle control. Also states that some pesticides may interfere with this enzyme. Reports that approximately one in every 4,000 people have low cholinesterase levels. Concludes that monitoring programs should be started before the government requires them. |
