Abstract/Contents:Discusses the always changing standards expected on a golf course and what is being done with turf to make for better play surfaces. Presents the pros of using Kentucky bluegrass for greens and changes made to the species. Discusses the cons of replacing Kentucky bluegrass with annual bluegrass. Suggests using sod when replacing greens with Kentucky bluegrass instead of interseeding. Explains the pros and cons of resurfacing putting greens with bermudagrass and creeping bentgrass when dealing with green speed. Suggests that converting turf that has suffered from gray leaf spot to bentgrass will save money in the long run by less pesticide usuage. Lists the pros of using seashore paspalum for greens.
