| Abstract/Contents: | "2,4-D at 0.5 and 1.0 kg a.i. ha-1 and dicamba at 0.15 - 0.60 kg a.i. ha-1 were applied to bromegrass (Bromus inermis Leyss.) in September of the year of seeding or in the following spring at each of two crop stages: before stem elongation and the shotblade. Seed yields 1 yr after seeding were not significantly reduced by any of the 2,4-D treatments applied before stem elongation. However, seed yields, averaged across the 3 yr of the study, were significantly reduced by applications of 2,4-D at 1.0 kg a.i. ha-1 rate applied before stem elongation. Weight per 100 seeds and percent germination were not affected by any of the herbicide treatments." |
