| Abstract/Contents: | A brief discussion is given of micronutrients such as iron, manganese, copper, zinc, boron, molybdenum, chlorine, and sometimes sodium and silicon. Concentrations are given in ppm (parts per million). Evaluations and deficiencies are discussed. Iron, copper, manganese and zinc can be applied in sulfate form or as chelates. Use low rates of boron or molybdenum to avoid injury. And be wise, don't use a "shot gun" dose of a mixture of micronutrients, it's liable to cause toxicity. Use small amounts in small turf areas to determine what nutrients the turf needs. |
