Abstract/Contents: | A putting turf plot of 'Highland' Bentgrass and Poa annua was treated with six replications of fungicides, a wettable powder of CGA64251 was first applied. These applications tested the control of Fusarium patch. Fusarium patch was controlled although red thread developed. RP 26019 and CGA 64251 effectively controlled red thread 40 days after the last fungicide treatment for Fusarium. An unknown disease of dark green 10'' cultivar spots, after coalescence, with thatch decomposed below resulting in post depression and easy removal from surface beneath the spot appeared on bentgrass varies under advanced management. Turf receives nitrogen and alternate applications of Fore + PMAS. Spots are generally less prevalent on turf receiving applications of fungicides and high levels of nitrogen. Turf texture within the spots is rough. Results to isolate the causal agent have been inconsistent. |
