Suggests identifying problems and creating a list of wanted or needed improvements. Discusses the issue of renovation costs. Describes the best way to identify what needs renovating, which is to "identify the `elements' of renovation," which include golf course routing, greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, drainage, irrigation systems, cart paths, and landscaping. States that "once you determine what to renovate and understand what is involved in the process, you can best formulate renovation objectives and goals."
