Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the problem of lack of space to dispose of garbage. Presents the problem of poor growing conditions for vegetation because of heavy traffic by soldiers causing erosion of soil. Addresses an answer to this problem as that in which taking garbage and transforming it into a nutritive pulp to be used to regrow native grasses. Briefly describes how the pulp is made. Briefly examines an experiment conducted by soil scientist, H. Allen Torbert to test the pulp. Reports that the pulp was successful in helping native grasses regrow. |
