| Abstract/Contents: | The upkeep of lawns involves mechanical as well as chemical measures. The following points should be observed: 1) Favourable growth conditions improve the health of the grasses, 2) plant protection products are tested for certain purposes and are licensed for use by the BBA for a limited period, 3) the person applying these products should do this in a reliable manner paying full attention to the regulations, 4) preventive cultivation measures prevent turf diseases so that the application of fungicides is not necessary, and 5) boards for the Protection of Nature cannot replace the certification officed with its duties. |
