| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a new industry manual, "covering the establishment, maintenance and IPM guidelines for sustainable turf in Atlantic Canada." Explains why the manual was needed and when creation began, stating that "the concept for the manual was concieved in 1994 when a quantity of poor soil had been sold in the Fredericton area, about 80 per cent of which was subsoil." Discusses the cost of the production of the manual and the prestige it has gained. Describes what the manual will accomplish in the turfgrass industry and in the community and who will use it. States that "the manual, which was given a final polish by Linda Gilkeson...will eventually be translated to French." |
