Abstract/Contents: | Discusses research being done by Dr. Rob Richardson to "help solve some of the problems faced by nursery and greenhouse growers, including yellow fieldcress (Rorippa sylvestris), a difficult to control weed in field and container production of berbaceous pernnials, and liverwort, which forms dense crusts in potted plants, reducint their quality and salability." Describes the materials and methods used during these studies and presents the results of these studies. States that "excellent control of yellow fieldcress was obtained with Weedar 64, Plateau, Manage, Redeem R&P, and Curtain M." Also states that "the highest liverwort control with minimal crop injury was observed with A1656 (13.6 lb/A). Suppression of liverwort was achieved with several other treatments, but SureGuard and BroadStar treatment resulted in high injury to Hosta." |
