Abstract/Contents: | CONTENTS NOTE: "Commercially produced monocultures or blends of Kentucky bluegrass cultivars, and mixtures of Kentucky bluegrasses with perennial ryegrass and/or fine-leaf fescue were established as sods on a well-prepared seedbed during July, 1979." Inoculum was placed at a measured location within each plot by removing a 2.5-cm diam by 2 cm deep cylinder of turf, depositing 1.2 cm3 of inoculum in the hole, and replacing the turf. Patch diseases over the inoculum sites began to appear in some plots during early Aug, 1985, a period of very dry, hot weather. Disease measurements made on Aug . 20 and Sept. 17 are reported as the percentages of replicates exhibiting a patch disease of any size." |
